 После выпуска двух дисков главарь банды Томас Вольф решил, что пора превратить Stormwind из сольного проекта в полноценную группу. Вскоре был подобран состав, и включал в себя таких людей, как вокалист Томас Викстром (Candlemass, Therion, Dark Illusion), клавишник Каспар Далквист (Dionysus, Treasure Land, Ride The Sky) и барабанщик Патрик Йоханссон (Rising Force Ингви Мальмстина, Without Grief, Chainwreck). Партии бас-гитары взял на себя сам Вольф. Но обновлённый состав – не единственное отличие этого диска от предыдущих, потому что также сменилась стилистика группы. Если первые два релиза были выполнены в ключе hard’n’heavy с очень редкими проблесками пауэра, то теперь мы имеем дело с настоящим, стопроцентным пауэр металом, да не простым, а неоклассическим. Великое множество характерных мелодий и всевозможных соло в духе Ингви Мальмстина не оставит равнодушным ни одного любителя неоклассики. Такое ощущение, что на третьем альбоме “Heaven Can Wait” играет другая команда, нежели на “Straight From Your Heart” (1996) и “Stargate” (1998). Она преобразилась. Теперь каждая композиция врезается в память, все треки обладают превосходной мелодикой, в которой уже, кстати, без труда выявляется свой собственный почерк Томаса Вольфа. Но «мощному» металлу – и мощный звук. Здесь такой есть: отличный саунд, в котором слышно каждый инструмент, и можно различить партии всех участников, даже не напрягаясь. И, напоследок, назову несколько запавших мне в душу композиций: это открывающий боевик “Eye Of The Storm”, номер с прогрессивными замашками “She”, тяжеленький трек “Forever Free” и красивая вещь “Caelum Exspectare Potest”. Прекрасные песни, прекрасный звук, прекрасная техничность – этот альбом заслуживает крепкой оценки. Приятного прослушивания! |
