Хэммонд-орган используется активней всего в "The Misery Shows" (неожиданно легкой по звучанию) и "The Beginning" (будучи главным ее украшением). |

I hope someday maybe He'll see the light
I told you all, right from the start
choose the way that comes from the heart,
I can tell some of you still can't see
when are we going to stop this misery
in these troubled times, you ask me
how can we be saved
tell all the people, everyone you meet
the answer is LOVE
I told you, 'bout the wickedness of man
to try and save him, I hope we can
I told you 'bout my dream of love
and the life that only comes from above
I can tell some of you still can't see
when are we going to stop this misery
in these troubled times, you ask me
how can we be saved
tell all the people, everyone you meet
the answer is LOVE!
2. Thinking Of The Past
Remember the place, when you were young
that seemed so real
life was so much fun
I can see it in my son
were you ever young?
now these days are gone forever
wish I'd make them last
now we feel so sad together
thinking of the past
remember the time when we used to cry
even though it was so small
help was always near
mother made it disappear
did you ever cry?
now those days are gone forever
wish I'd make them last
now we feel so sad together
thinking of the past
remember the way we used to laugh
and talk about our dreams
living for today
where is yesterday
could you ever laugh?
now those days are gone forever
wish I'd make them last
now we feel so sad together
thinking of the past
it draws near
3. On Borrowed Time
Am I going down
to where there's no return
how long can I go on
listening to my fears
I'm so tired of living
on borrowed time
I feel so sad, the world is driving me mad
'cause it's never enough to please
it's getting hard, hard to live in a place
where nothing is real
Am I going down
to where there's no return
how long can I go on
listening to my fears
I'm so tired of living
on borrowed time
Who is the one who can tell me why
can't I see the colour of my dreams
our hearts are blinded, blinded in a place
where nothing is real
Who am I supposed to be
nobody knows, not even me
and people say that I've got it made
don't they know I?m so afraid
you pay money just to see yourself
don't let them fool you with dope & cocaine
help me before i go insane
Am I going down
to where there's no return
how long can I go on
listening to my fears
I'm so tired of living
on borrowed time.
4. Run To The Light
Cross over, children, to the other side
lost little children, run to the light
look at all the lonely people
all I see is despair
and you're lost in confusion
run to the light
why do you love the darkness
how can you see where you are going
look at all the lonely people
all I see is despair
and they're lost in confusion
My soul is troubled
I'm afraid of the darkness,
afraid of myself
and sometimes, I don't know where I'm going
but when I die, I know I will find my way
in the light, is our salvation
pain is just a memory
in the light, you will find the truth
all the answers, for those who want to know
we all know what it's like
feeling like you can't go on, I can't go on
and sometimes, I don't know where I'm going
but when I die, I know I will find my way
in the light, is our salvation
pain is just a memory
in the light, you will find the truth
all the answers, for those who want to know
I wanna know
Cross over, children, to the other side
lost little children, run to the light
look at all the lonely people
all I see is despair
and we're lost in confusion
all are welcome, on the other side
run to the light!
5. Peace Of Mind
Now that we've travelled so very far
to walk the road alone
happier days I've known
all I want is our freedom
to live our lives without fear
we want the world to have freedom
save the children
now that you've found another key
open the door my friends
the beginning of the end
all I want is our freedom
to live our lives without fear
we want the world to have freedom
save the world
now that you know who you are
peace of mind is near
courage instead of fear
6. Born In A Prison
Born in a prison
where no one ever survives
a place with no visions of truth
what a waste of human lives
we got to come together
we got to come together
we lost our wisdom
so we live in despair
wake up it's never too late
to show me that you care
we got to come together
we got to come together
first you must learn how to love
violence will only get you violence
there is no reason to kill
only a reason to fight
we live in a prison
but they say we are free
I wonder who makes the rules
are they so different from me?
we lost our freedom
so what are we waiting for
stand up for what you is right
let's not give up no more
we got to come together
we got to come together
7. Tuesday's Child
If I should speak to all the angels
what would I say
would it be okay?
and if I had the gift of prophecy
what would I see
would you believe in me?
and if I only had
the love that you need
I can't believe that I'm living in greed
And if I had a chance to feed the poor
would everyone get to eat
will I have a seat
and if I was the man with (all the) answers
what would I learn
and would it be my turn
and if I only had
the love that you need
I can't believe that I'm living in greed
Hold on Tuesday, Tuesday hold on
it's gonna be alright
You gotta believe
If I should speak to all the nations
would the fighting cease
will there be peace
if I only had the love – that you need
[laughs]
Tuesday – love me
Tuesday – love me, love me
8. The Beginning
see the face in the mirror of your dreams
emptiness is all that's left
sadness in your eyes
take off your disguise
how much longer can you hide the pain
Turn around look at what you see
the world is fading away
sadness is everywhere
and living in despair
how much longer can you stand the pain
there is a place
that lives within our minds
a world of human fantasy
reach for the stars
never look back again
you've got nothing to lose
everything to gain
fly with me
and what you see will be
look upon your rainbow
dream a dream
don't let it slip away
in your hands
lies the birth of a new day.
when I look into your eyes
the world is there for me
and the more I look inside
the more there is to see
sun shines all around me
the light knows that I'm free
make believe I'm everywhere
believe you're here with me.
In the beginning... All is forgiven
In the beginning... Time to start living
In the beginning... All is forgiven
In the beginning... Time to start living
Oh yeah
