 Довольно интересный материал сочиняют эти финны. Вполне удачно сочетая сладж с мелодик дэтом и добавив ко всему этому атмосферу пост-метала, музыканты добились очень неплохого результата.
Альбом звучит, в основном, спокойно и размерено, но, в то же время, это спокойствие прерывается напористыми и тяжелыми вставками. Вокал Manne Ikonen'a, подстраиваясь под изменения в звучании, из медленного чистого превращается в резкий гроул. Он отличается чувственностью и эмоциональностью. Приятно слушать как гроул так и чистые вокальные партии в его исполнении. Постоянные метаморфозы также имеют место и в темпе композиций, которые то сбавляют, то внезапно набирают скорость. Постоянная игра на контрастах олицетворяет здесь соотношение между грустью и агрессией, которые также проявляются и в текстах песен. Музыканты проделали неплохую работу при записи альбома. Звук на высочайшем уровне, сыграно все мастерски и без изъянов. Также очень хорошо вписываются в звучание альбома акустические вкрапления, которые часто переходят в агрессивные риффы. Из композиций на фоне остальных выделяются вступительная " Suffocated", меланхолично-агрессивная "My Heart is a Tomb", а также, инструментальная " 22.22 Nihil". В целом, " Isolation Songs" вышел довольно ровным и остальные композиции не уступают вышеназванным в своей хитовости и атмосферности.
В итоге имеем очень качественную и профессиональною работу, отличающуюся резкими сменами настроения и способную порадовать как любителей сладжа/пост-метала, так и поклонников мелодичного дэта финской школы. |
