 Дебютный альбом Удо Диркшнайдера, вокалиста и лидера немецкой хэви метал легенды Accept. Своим трудолюбием и немалым творческим талантом он достиг почти того же культового статуса, что и его бывшая группа, также этому успеху помогло то, что музыка была такая же напористая и по-немецки качественная, что и послужило в итоге переходом всех акцептовских поклонников на его сторону. Как таковой проект Удо выпускает свой первый альбом сразу после пластинки Акцепта «Russian Roulette», смею заметить, что даже очень удачной, так что перед Диркшнайдером стояла нелёгкая задача – ему нужно было и обойти свою старую команду, но и сделать что-то, что могло заинтересовать как старых фанов, так и новых. И он справился с этим отлично, на все десять баллов! В качестве других членов банды Удо помогали гитаристы Фрэнк Рителл и Петер Цигети (оба выходцы из Warlock), и Матиас Дит из Sinner, а также барабанщик Томас Франк. На диске присутствует всем знакомый по Акцепту драйв, качество звучания, мощность и хоровые запевы, к тому же очень похожие сами знаете на кого. Однако не подкачал и материал, объединенный одной антивоенной концепцией, хотя встречаются совершенно разные по смыслу песни. Хотел бы выделить открывающую заглавную композицию «Animal House», по ритму напоминающую «Restless And Wild» (далее сравнивать буду только с работами Акцепта, в общем то других похожих коллективов не существует, что говорит только о полной индивидуальности группы), очень забавно вышла средне темповая «They Want War» с участием детского хора (сразу вспоминается Pink Floyd, но правда здесь это звучит менее радикально) и красивой партией акустической гитары, также хорошо получилась полу балладная вещица «In The Darkness», крутой боевичок «Lay Dawn The Law» и скоростная ракета «We Want It Loud», очень повеселила «Hot Tonight» – смесь таких альбомов как «I'm A Rebel », «Breaker» и творчества ещё одного флагмана жанра Judas Priest, далее нужно выделить «Coming Home» – тоже 100% хит, несмотря на всю его вторичность. В общем, хоть материал и не пестрит каким то уж гениальным развитием или новшествами, всё равно он кажется очень свежим и новым, а отсутствие плохих песен ещё раз доказывает, что титул культового металлического дедушки Удо получил не за красивые глазки. |
