 Пинк Крим стремительно развивался, направляя себя в безудержное нечто. Хотя, наблюдая такой резкий поворот (не туда!) в музыке группы, можно предположить, что тогда было такое специфическое время, в период которого было популярно играть что-то более модное и современное. В принципе только так и можно объяснить приверженность большинства хард-роковых групп к осовремененному року, в связке с тягучей и нудной альтернативой или грязноватым и простоватым гранджем. Собственно именно Pink Cream 69, Dokken и Axxis как раз и занимались этим. Могу ли я в этом их винить? Конечно же, нет, Бог им судья. Но я могу спокойно обвинить группу в изготовлении абсолютно отстойнейшей музыкальной продукции. Они, можно сказать, повторяли ошибки своих собратьев, углубляясь в дебри, куда почтенные хард рокеры углубляться не должны, поскольку ничего не стоит им там заблудится. Хотя, как гласит история, данный диск был принят по разному, были случаи и откровенного разочарования, но были также и бурные восторги. Тем более что это время для группы было не самым спокойным. Оригинальный вокалист Энди Дерис уходит в Helloween, и на его место берут неизвестного парня из Англии по имени Дэвид Ридман, который ранее нигде не числился. И что самое удивительное, так это то, что Ридман не обладает какими-то уж очень оригинальными или шикарными вокальными данными, и в харизматическом плане он проигрывает Дерису. Ан нет! Публика весьма благосклонно его принимает, чему прямое подтверждение - серия удачных концертов. И от себя добавлю, что как вокалист Дэвид прекрасно справляется со своей задачей. Голос его звучит уверенно и эмоционально. В нём есть нечто такое привлекательное, что заставляет сердце настоящего меломана забиться чаще и повнимательней прислушаться к его звуку. Жаль только что сам музыкальный материал ну никак не расположен к тому, что бы захватить внимание железными щипцами, и представляется эдаким развалившимся на диване лентяем, не желающим никуда идти и вообще двигаться. Музыка на «Change» какая-то неповоротливая, расслабленная и не очень драйвовая, хотя гитарные риффы, позволю себе заметить, не слишком разнообразные на данном этапе развития - звучат достаточно тяжело и жёстко. Несмотря на такую не весьма радостную ситуацию, я думаю, что даже у этой пластинки смогут найтись поклонники. Но если же судить ребят с моей субъективной стороны, то, играя ранее хард рок и продолжая его играть в таком извращенном виде, музыканты показывают только свою несостоятельность сочинить нечто ценное, выходя за свои обычные рамки творчества. Два балла как никак альбом заслуживает хотя бы за единственную хитовую композицию «Funny Words». Сдается мне, могли они и лучше изменится… |
