 В мире музыки часто встречаются ситуации, когда за широкими спинами откровенных лидеров или фронтменов различных коллективов медленно, но верно копят силы совершенно незаметные таланты, которые в подходящий момент ТАК выстреливают своим творческим потенциалом, что хоть стой, хоть падай! Очень подходящий пример - обозреваемый дебют группы с милым названием Speed\Kill/Hate, трое участников которой также числятся в рядах ветеранов американского трэша Overkill. Барабанщик Тим Маллэр уже больше десяти лет праведно трудится и ломает палочки в этой заслуженной команде, и, очевидно, все это время он потихоньку сочинял собственный материал и кропотливо складывал его в бабушкин сундук, ибо в Overkill абсолютное большинство песен всегда сочиняли Бобби Эллсворт и Ди Ди Верни. И вот, в последнее время, с приходом в группу гитаристов Дейва Линска и Дерека Тайлера, Тим обрел долгожданную опору и решился на создание сайд проекта, руководство которым взял на себя Дейв, давно мысливший собрать собственную группу. Обзвонив старых знакомых и найдя отличного певца по имени Марио Фраска из малоизвестного коллектива Anger On Anger (протекцию которому, несомненно, составил тот же мистер Линск, поскольку в вышеозначенном ВИА они оба играют вместе), Speed\Kill/Hate сочинили, записали и выпустили в свет свой первый (и надеюсь, не последний) альбом, получивший название "Acts Of Insanity". Которое, кстати, очень подходит к содержимому диска в целом. Вы надеетесь услышать что нибудь похожее на звучание Overkill? Нет, господа, не для этого Дейв так долго ждал подходящего момента! Музыка Speed\Kill/Hate - это исключительно скоростной, брутальный, яростный и просто пропитанный ненавистью ко всему миру трэш метал, с немалыми влияниями старого хардкора 80-ых годов. Про адекватные мелодии можно сразу забыть - их с лихвой компенсирует напор, безумная агрессия и дикий скриминг Марио, сулящий долгую и мучительную смерть всем лжецам, цензорам и, особенно, политикам. Такие вещи, как ураганные боевики "Setting Me Off" и "Won't See Fear", или запредельно злобные и нигилистические гимны "Not For Me" и "Repent", несомненно, заслуживают внимания любого трэшера со стажем (да и без него, в принципе, тоже). Диск длится всего 36 минут - однако за это время я успел настолько проникнутся атмосферой тотального хаоса и сумасшествия, что все последние творения Overkill показались мне просто хором мальчиков-зайчиков. Если "Acts Of Insanity" получит должную раскрутку, то Тиму, Дейву и компании скоро придется уделять своему сайд проекту намного большее количество времени и внимания, потому что их материал обходит сегодняшние творения Overkill с легкостью гоночной Феррари, подрезающей на крутом вираже старенькие Жигули.
