 Есть на карте Европы страна такая, Испанией называется. У меня она ассоциируется, как впрочем и у всех людей, с ее солнечными курортами и пляжами, корридой и тореодорами, Торквемадой и ужасающей средневековой инквизицией, Франко, Пикассо и так далее, но не с брутальной дэтовой и грайндовой сценой, в отличие от США, Польши и Чехии. Я могу назвать разве что Avulsed, Machetazo и Haemorrhage. Эта рецензия посвящена дебютному альбому последней среди названных команд.
Итак, что я думаю о "Emetic Cult"... С одной стороны, материал на альбоме выполнен неплохо. Есть какая-то техника. Музыканты, сразу видно, впервые в жизни взяли в руки инструменты не за пару недель до начала записи альбома. Видно желание записать качественную музыку (а не какой-нибудь долбящий и шумящий трэш, как это бывает у многих грайндкоровых коллективов). Есть стремление создать разнообразие за счет нескольких вокальных голосов (низкий гроул, скримы, иногда тихое чистоголосье и, конечно тромбопробулькивающий – ведь это gore - grind), смены ритма. Но это с одной стороны. С другой стороны, вся картина выглядит несколько банально, особенно ритм секция, бас. Многие группы первой половины 90-х играли что-то очень похожее. И еще, но это уже несколько субъективное высказывание. За что мне нравится грайндкор, так это за его чувство юмора, стеб, за неисчерпаемую позитивную энергетику, которую он в себе несет (если говорить о качественном грайнде). Здесь все совсем по-другому. Альбом получился мрачным, каким – то загруженным, вялым. Начинается он с красивой симфонической, но мрачной заставки "Nekromantik", которая как будто задает настроение всему альбому. Под конец становится как-то тоскливо, даже несмотря на бласт-биты и имеющиеся скоростные номера, которых, кстати, не так уж и много. Аж хочется выть волком на луну (а если таковой не имеется – на включенную люстру :) ). И заканчивается альбом какой-то похоронной мелодией при звуках аппарата, показывающего биение сердца, в самом конце оно останавливается (вот вам и юмор с позитивом!).
Думаю, тексты не стоит комментировать. Все и так понятно – gore grind.
В целом, хочется сказать, что альбом неплох, но и ничего хорошего из себя не представляет. Как-то банально, вяло и мрачно. Хотя многие считают этот релиз лучшим в дискографии Haemorrhage. Может быть я что-то не так понял и пойму позже. Мне по душе их более поздние релизы. Этот альбом я мог бы посоветовать только фанатам группы.
P.S. Кстати, в группе на гитаре играет девушка. Конечно, не модель, но и не уродина. Никогда бы не подумал, что девушки могут принимать участие в грайндовых проектах. Не женское это дело. Хотя, это скорее исключение из правила. |
