 "Fractal", следуя законам жанра, должен был стать затравочкой перед выходом первого альбома шведов за 5 последних лет. Но вышло так, что выступление разогревающей группы получилось куда лучше, чем сет хэдлайнеров вечера. Четыре песни – четыре грани творчества группы. "Land of the Wolves" – мелодичный блэк-дэт гимн с умопомрачительным припевом, необычайно красивый и отчаянно стремительный. "Bereaved in Denial" – неожиданная попытка группы вторгнутся на поле деятельности модерновых команд, удавшаяся достаточно, чтобы не выпасть из общей канвы творчества Skyfire. "The Transgressor Within" – наиболее прогрессивное построение на всем диске, насыщенное гармонией, украшенное сольными выходами клавиш, гитар и нагло выпирающего на передний план баса, обладающее несомненной логической стройностью и композиционной выдержанностью. Ну и в заключение – главное блюдо, хит "Esoteric", единственный с этого EP, попавший в альбом. Главное достоинства диска – несомненно, то, что 4 представленных на нем трека – это именно песни, композиции, а не витиевато переплетенные между собой риффы и соло. Так что слушать последний альбом Skyfire желательно только вместе с "Fractal". |
