Between some tracks on the CD there are tongue twisters in Dutch and Japanese. These were collected by the band on a European tour:
at the end of track 1: Acht-en-Tachtig-Prachtige-Grachten
This is Dutch for "88 (achtentachtig) beautiful (prachtige) canals (grachten)."
at the end of track 3: Tonari no kyaku wa yoku kaki kuu kyaku da
This is a Japanese tongue twister (hayakuchi kotoba) meaning "The adjacent (tonari) customer (kyaku) eats (kuu) persimmons (kaki) often (yoku)."
at the end of track 4: Zes-en-Zestig-Sinaas-Appel-Schillen
This is again Dutch and means "66 (zesenzestig) orange (sinaasappel) peels (schillen)."
at the end of track 5: Hottentotten-Tenten-Tentoonstellingen
Dutch tongue twister meaning "(an) exhibition of tents made by the Hottentots."
at the end of track 6: Chikushō, nante hidee sandoicchi da
Japanese meaning "Damn (chikushō)! How awful (hidee) this sandwich (sandoicchi) is!"
at the end of track 10: Acht-en-Tachtig-Prachtige-Grachten

| 1. Fishbowl Man (4:28)
Into the fishbowl
I make my stand
Among the red fish
That shake my hand
The left of never
The right of me
The yellow water
Eternity
I'm in a fishbowl
I'm a fishbowl man
Up come the red fish
They speak to me
They tell me secrets
That shouldn't be

Mr. Bulbous”. |

Bubble of birth
I pop the question
To Mother Earth
Jerry Spoken Word: (bridge)
external internal constant longings
inside out flacid dreams
silver wings
memory fading
the future snarls
she brings me a plate of black eyed sneers
waves crashing
forest burns
forced to impregnate itself to be freed
crack the whip
the horse has no conscience
whether to live or merely receed
pedastal landscapes manical reverence
naked she lies
clothed she pretends
my god I can't stand it
the systems the basics
humanity swearing because it's been born
non speaking monarch from fairy tale mishap
chartered a boat to visit my pain
we talked for hours then it all became clear
simply because I'm a Fishbowl man
I'm in a fishbowl I'm a fishbowl man

2. Julia (3:39)
Monster's gone away
Rocket ships delay
Guess they're all afraid
Heard it's gonna rain
Julia...
You don't have to cry
I'll do what you want me to...
Your superman
Forward never straight
Concentrate...relate
Easy to be fake
Blame it on my faith
Julia...
You don't have to cry
I'll do what you want me to...
Your superman
Who would have figured
She'd not pull the trigger
A light in the sky
Was a spark of delight
Crimson and clover
Send rover right over
To dance on my table
And stay up all night
Julia...
You don't have to cry
I'll do what you want me to...
Your superman

3. She's Gone Away (4:37)
I've got a lot I call my own
My house is full of things
But its just an empty home
And all day long I walk around
Seeing reminders and reliving all I've found
She's gone away
She... she's gone away
She's gone away
She left today
Hey hey
She... she's gone away
She's gone away
She wouldn't stay
Hey hey
I took your brother to the zoo
The sky was falling
And he seemed to know it too
He turned to me and said
What a waste
And I said...
Someday you'll know it
If you ever get the taste
She's gone away
Yeah!
She... she's gone away
She's gone away
She left today
Hey hey
She... she's gone away
She's gone away
She wouldn't stay
Hey hey
I took your brother to the zoo...

4. Marsh Mellow Field (5:30)
Heard you were coming back
Been hanging around for so long
A militant mother... A militant brother
A militant marsh mellow field
Loosen the tourniquet
Long way to go for so long
An angry professor, misguided confessor
Of militant marsh mellow field
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me out of my mind
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me out of my mind
Valedictorian
Living the words for so long
I love you forever
I curse the bad weather
In militant marsh mellow fields
Its raining in storyland
Stuck in the pages so long
Attracted a loser
A practiced confuser
A militant marsh mellow field
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me out of my mind
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me out of my mind
New resolution
Forever lasting so long
Got over inflated
I no longer waited
In militant marsh mellow fields
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me out of my mind
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me
Oh won't you take me out of my mind

5. When You're Scared (4:26)
It's really easy to hate everyone
When you're scared
Making comparisons,
Faking your friends
When you're scared
Then comes the day
Everything's taken away
Everyone's shame is the same
If she gives me a sword and a lake
Will I mistake it
If she hands me my head on a plate
How will I take it
If I'm scared
It's really easy to take all the blame
When you're scared
All of your ornaments fall to the floor
When you're scared
All the decisions to make
All of your life is at stake
Under your feet there's a quake
If she gives me a sword and a lake
Will I mistake it
If she hands me my head on a plate
How will I take it?
If I'm scared
Love twisted to break
And its your life that you hate
Nothing is easy to take
If she gives me a sword and a lake Will I mistake it
When she hands me my head on a plate
Then will I break it?
If I'm scared

6. Charlie Sheen (3:51)
It all works out
It all works out
It all works out
It all works out
I'm waiting for a word beyond our history
And paper tigers dance about within the mystery
Clover of substance I can't put my finger on
And stepping over sidewalk cracks I'm catching the last one
The silent waiting room, the padded soundproof wall
Have become much more terrifying than the shadowed hall
So you can have your reasons for the bloody war
I know I don't want to hate you for what you're not sorry for
Kill the king
Strip the queen
Are you a friend
Dear Charlie Sheen
Roll over Johnny boy
Your song is on the tube
And with it died a dream of mine...
Releasing the balloon
It seems that lately nothing that I ever thought
Can stand up to the pressure of the crap that I have bought
So turn the page and be sure that you rip it out
'Cause it won't be there otherwise unless we figure out
That there are reasons yet behind this bloody war
And I don't want to hate you for what you're not sorry for
Kill the king Strip the queen
Are you my friend
Dear Charlie Sheen

7. Smudge (3:52)
Ever since I was a little baby
Had the devil on my mind
Two dimensional Satan on the wall
And the thread would start to wind
Hold me closer
Move aside Mr. Wilson
Please move aside
In the sand the circle getting bigger
Till it all gets out of hand
On the mountain.. let go of the angel
And to my mom I ran
Hold me closer
Any day.. yesterday.. there's tomorrow to say
Let's forget it anyway
Can you try to understand...
What's this mark upon my hand
My nose was held shut and my mouth open
With a spoon shoved down my throat
One little piggy walking with a pumpkin
And a mustard headed goat
Hold me closer
Please move aside Mr. Wilson
Would you please move aside
Hey Betty May, it's summertime in Jersey
Don't you know the kids will freeze
Please don't pop your eyes out for me deary
Cause the man behind you sees
Hold me closer
Anyday... yesterday... there's tomorrow to say
Let's forget it anyway
Can you try to understand...
What's this mark upon my hand?
At the bottom of a box of five black markers
Is a buried Swedish pen
If at Thanksgiving... if you want to see me
Then you better be my kin
Hold me closer
For the love of god, Mr. Wilson
For the love of god
Anyday... yesterday... there's tomorrow to say
Let's forget it anyway
Can you try to understand
What's this mark upon my hand
Would you sing a song for me
'Cause I broke your rosary

8. Bitter Sweet (2:13)
Killing a bird with a knife
Turning away from her life
All that I do isn't right
Losing my way in the night
Ever reading... something's bleeding in my soul
And I can't seem to fill up the hole
And I love you... thinking of you... bitter sweet
So I bury the feeling and empty my head
Just to sleep... too deep
Watch me suffer... try to cover up the pain
And I stand on the roof in the rain
And I love you thinking of you... bitter sweet
So I bury the feeling and empty my head
Just to sleep... too deep

9. Move Me (4:58, part two 7:20)
Keeper of mysteries
River of Tears
After it's over
And after the years are passing
Never asking
What about miracles
Faith in the space
It keeps me guessing
With nothing to hate
I am lonely
And unholy
Everything matters
A prayer when you're scared
Boarded up windows
And broken down chairs before morning
Heard it storming
(God can you hear me...
God can you see me cry...die)
Handbook of rituals... hands in the air
More than a give up... big as a care
If you're daring
And you're sharing
Move me
God, can you hear me cry
God, can you see me die
God can you move me
Move me and move me again
Out of the planet and into the silence
Over the mountains in search of a crisis to find me
If it should be
Once I was told there's a race to be won
Pointed the finger straight into the sun to be blinded and I minded
(God can you hear me...
God can you see me cry...die)
Wish I could whisper how much I need you
After tomorrow I might forget to
If it's only from a story
Keeper of mysteries
River of tears
After it's over
And after the years are passing
Never asking
Move me
God, can you hear me cry
God, can you see me die
God can you move me
Move me and move me again
