Formed in Barcelona in 2008, CRISIX have gone from the young talented thrash metallers, winning by majority the worldwide Metal Battle contest from the legendary German festival Wacken Open Air in 2009, and being the Best Spanish Newcomers by Rockzone Magazine in 2011, to one of the most representative metal bands in Spain and its music acclaimed in every corner of the world.

2013 has been a busy year for the Barcelonian five piece, touring all over the Spanish territory and playing in some of the best music festivals of the country since their second studio album 'Rise...Then Rest' came out in 30th April. As if this were not enough the album peaked at #63 on the Spanish Album Charts.
'Rise...Then Rest' was recorded over a two month period in Moontower Studios (ES) and mixed & mastered by American death metal genius Erik Rutan (Ex-Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal) at Mana Recording Studios in Flordia, USA (Agnostic Front, Cannibal Corpse, Madball...). The album is powerful and rough, with supercharged melodies in a frienzed madness of speed and screaming voices that gonna punch your face off!
Crisix has ended this year on a high note, in the first place, headlining Barcelona's Boveda Club as part of "Tour Then Rest" selling out the tickets and filming its upcoming music video 'Bring 'em to the Pit' featuring live footage of the show. And in the second place, they've been elected 'Artist of the week' this Christmas in the prestigious tv show MTV Iggy from USA.
