ET MORIEMUR was founded in February 2008 in Prague by vocalist Zdeněk who, together with bass-player Honza (ex-Return to Innocence), had previously played in another (now defunct) doom act. They were joined by drummer Michal (Cruadalach, ex Silent Stream of Godless Elegy and Dissolving of Prodigy), guitarists Fedor and David and keyboardist Albert. In December 2009 the band released its first EP „Lacrimae rerum“ which was warmly received by the music press and fans alike.

In October Et Moriemur's debut album „Cupio dissolvi“ was released by the Czech metal label and magazine Parat.
Fedor, David and Bert leave the band, EM´s new guitarist is Ales from the doom metal formation Ghost in the Shell.
EM mixes death/doom with funeral/black/ambient and classical music influences creating sad, sometimes desperate and sinister atmosphere conveying the idea of the withering of life. The whole concept is highlighted by desperate vocals with existential lyrics sung in different languages.
