It all started in the Year 1989 when I have heard "Hammerheart" for the first Time.Damned,this was really unique Stuff.I ´ve ever liked the whole Bathory Releases but this was my Inspiration to do my own Epic/Viking Project. The first Song I´ve written was "Fullmoon Symphony",it tooked me about one Hour to compose the Music.Nowadays it´s still one of my Favorites (a few Years later I´ve composed an Orchestral Version of the Song,but it was never released). The next Step was to found my own Thing.I tried to combine the Bathory Style with 80´ Thrash and Powermetal (of Course the US-Style like Tyrant,Jag Panzer,Metal Church...). In 91´ I´ve recorded a Demo Tape,it featured the Tracks "Fullmoon Symphony","Beyond North" and "A macabre Tale of our final Passage".This Tape was only for private Use and Friends,but I re-recorded the Stuff in 92´,together with the Songs "Coldest" and "From Heaven to Hell" (this Song is featured on the second Album "Spectaculum" in a re-arranged Version with other Lyrics,called "Conquest").This Demo-Tape,called "North awaits" was the first official Release. The following Time I composed a few more Songs like "Blow into the Horns of North", "The Dark is my Father", "Inferno" or "Legend",to name a few. In Summer 94´I´ve recorded the first Album "The Dark is my Father".Unfortunatly two planned Songs are not featured on this Release ´cause there was not enough Time in the Studio to record it properly.These Songs where "Demon Shriek" and "Legend" (both Tracks on the second Album). Than I gone back into my Living Room and recorded two more Demo-Tapes on my Portable 4-Track Studio,named "Deliver us from God" and "Hymns of Darkness".These Tapes where also only for private Use and there are a lot of Songs,never released official. In early 96´I´ve entered the Studio to record the powerful Opus "Spectaculum".But what can I say? It tooked my about a Year! to bring the Recordings to an End.In the Meantime we´ve lost the whole Guitartracks for two Times (!) and the Studio was set Underwater...(don´t ask!). "Spectaculum" was released in March 97´ and had great Response worldwide. After that I´ve started to write Songs for a third Album,the planned Title was "The Bedside Book of Doom".These Songs where much darker then before,I wanted to create a special creepy Atmosphere,combined with the well known Power/Epic Style.I finished three Tracks ("Commencement","Path to the Beyond" and a 30 Minute-Opus called "The Medieval Chronicles") and than.....well,that´s another Story. Today I have about 2 Hours of Musical Mayhem in my Archives,Songs written between the Years 1994 and 2001.And this Shit is not dead yet! It´s not over...
