Turbulence is not unusual for KATATURA: founded in 2006 to strike a new path, accompanied by several musicians as often as leaved by them – only the both founders drummer Awinier Nurdin and guitarist Dániel Kiss stayed true to their vision.
And they were rewarded. In 2008 singer Andreas Glathe gave KATATURA his strong voice, in 2009 guitarist Anawin Chaloemseema improved the musical spectrum for the live performances and in 2010 bass player Djon completed the band with the longed for tonal deepness.
Since its foundation, KATATURA is on the way to define an individual idea of music. With the merger of various influences from thrash-, jazz-, death- and progressive-metal and by using polyrhythmic structures the balancing act of high demands and merciless groove get accomplished.
Complex patterns of beats, multi-layered song structures, brute riffs, energetic vocals and profound lyrics signify KATATURA. In a way, the sound is comparable with the rhythm of life: dynamic, powerful, persistent, irregularly and yet subjected to specific rules. The strategy works.
