- Nostalgia - was formed in 2000 by Rüdiger Gleisberg and Mathias Grassow.
The long friendship between these two well-known solo-musicians found its creative expression in the first album " Arcana publicata vilescunt ", released on US Label " RELEASE " in 2002. Third full member of Nostalgia is Carsten Agthe, a percussionist and Didge player.
Nostalgia stands for modern electronic-sounds, melted together with natural percussion and orchestra-elements. Main idea is a sound between Ambient and Gothic, but the cosmos of this band is much larger.
So, the first album is more chillish and in the mood of the fantastic " Dead can dance " band, while the second one with italian composer Luigi Seviroli is a concept-album, based on a victorian novel by William Hope Hodgson, with dramatic orchester elements and dark visions. Released on 'Ars benevola mater' Label in italy in 2005.
The third CD 'Beyond horizon' ('Practising nature' 2006) again is a new definition of this many sided band, by taking the listener to a journey back into the times, where electronic music was a mystic enigma.
The upcoming 4th album again shows the many sided faces of Nostalgia. With slow-motion tracks, electric guitars and 'heavy'-soundscapes, the band follows a new path in composing and combining different musical styles.
