The band was created back in 1999 by Laurent James and Julien Negro. After a few line up and name changes, they finally chose the moniker "Lord Of Mushrooms". They recorded their first album in 2001 for the well-known french recording company Musea : "Lord Of Mushrooms" was issued the next year and was mainly inspired by the music of Dream Theater, Genesis or Rush (among others). This ambitious disc, although it lacked of maturity, received great reviews worldwide. ..The album was followed three years later by a more focused and impressive work, "Seven Deadly Songs", a concept album based on the seven deadly sins. Newly signed with Lion Music, it received even greater reviews and allowed the band to perform live outside Europe. .. After leaving the progressive shores for a few months, Lord Of Mushrooms is now back with its two founding member to bring a follow up to "Seven Deadly Sins".
