Since their inception in 2007, Fallstar has managed to the ground running each year. With the release of their EP Your Eyes Don’t Lie the same year, the Portland five were able to buy a van and trailer and start living the tour life. They solidified their lineup in 2008 and continued to tour nonstop, playing alongside the likes of Sleeping Giant (ANGR Records), The Glorious Unseen (Tooth N’ Nail Records), August Burns Red (Solid State Records), Oh Sleeper (Solid State Records) and countless others. In early 2011, they funded and released their first full length album Reconciler. Refiner. Igniter. (Recorded by Dan McCall of A Hope for Home) and mastered by Troy Glessner (Underoath, Death Cab for Cutie), garnering Fallstar attention from major print and online publications in the scene as well as support from companies such as XXXChurch, Suburban Riot Clothing, Respira Collective, TRX cymbals, and Vitamin Water. With aspirations of sustainability, they print their own merch, handle all their own design, have learned the film and music video side of the industry, and have self-funded every artistic endeavor thus far. This past April, Fallstar re-entered the studio to record three demo songs with producer Kris Crummett (Sleeping with Sirens, The Devil Wears Prada, Alesana) at Interlace Audio to develop and capture their new sound which will establish them as a major name in heavy music for years to come.
