Putrid Blood was formed in the beginning of 2008, by Srdjan Ranisavljevic (guitar) and Slobodan Stanic (bass), with tendency to play thrash metal . Shortly after that, Slobodan leaves the band and Srdjan Hardi takes his place. For more than a year, the band existed only as a project and first versions of the band songs originate from that period. During the work on the material, few more people were interested in the project. Petar Barna (drums), Bojan Goluza (vocals) and Stevan Milankovic (vocals) joined the band. After a few rehearsals, new members contributed to the band’s sound, which is based on thrash metal, with elements of hardcore and black metal. The songs got their final shape. Putrid Blood held its first gig on “Sid cultural summer” festival, alongside Awaiting Fear, Ashen Epitaph, Salted Cut and Morbidoom. After a very good reaction from the crowd to the played material, the band decided to continue with the work and recorded its first demo, titled “Fire At Will”. The demo contains seven songs and it was recorded at the “Piknik” studio in Novi Sad, in September and October of 2009. In the summer of 2011. Vladimir Jašćur joins the band as second guitar player.

“Blaze” in Belgrade and recorded its first full-length album titled “Absolute Profit”, which contains 10 songs – 5 in Serbian, 4 in English language and one instrumental. It was officialy released via Miner Recordings from Switzerland in November 2012.
Putrid Blood je osnovan početkom 2008. godine od strane Srđana Ranisavljevića (gitara) i Slobodana Stanića (bas), sa ciljem da se radi autorski thrash metal. Slobodan posle kraćeg vremena napušta bend i na njegovo mesto dolazi Srđan Hardi. Više od godinu dana bend je postojao samo kao projekat i u tom periodu nastaju prvobitne verzije pesama. U toku rada na materijalu, još nekoliko ljudi se zainteresovalo za projekat i bendu se pridružuju Petar Barna (bubanj), Bojan Goluža (vokal) i Stevan Milanković (vokal). Posle par proba, novi članovi doprinose definisanju zvuka benda, čija je osnova thrash metal, sa elementima hardcore-a i black metala. Pesme dobijaju svoj konačni oblik. Putrid Blood održava svoju prvu svirku, u okviru festivala „Šidsko kulturno leto”, 04.08.2009., zajedno sa bendovima Awaiting Fear, Ashen Epitaph, Salted Cut i Morbidoom. Posle izuzetno dobre reakcije publike na odsvirani repertoar, odlučeno je da se nastavi s radom i snimi prvi demo naziva „Fire At Will“. Demo sadrži sedam pesama i sniman je u studiju „Piknik“ u Novom Sadu, u septembru i oktobru 2009. U leto 2011. bendu se pridružuje Vladimir Jašćur kao drugi gitarista.
U avgustu 2012. Putrid Blood ulazi u beogradski studio “Blaze” i pod producentskom palicom Miloša Mihajlovića snima svoj prvi album “Absolute Profit”, koji je je u novembru iste godine zvanično izdat za Miner Recordings.
