Illuminati was founded in 2008 during rehearsals for a My Dying Bride tribute concert. Andrei, Petre and Matei started hatching and matching up ideas at rehearsals (the usual story!). Then, concerts started coming our way (with such bands as Hate, Quo Vadis, Atheist - well, almost..., Psycho Symphony, Taine, Necrovile, Kathaarsys, Spectral, etc.). Work on the album started, which coincided with an unwanted hiatus since 2010. Finally after this 3-year Sisyphean wait, the apparent silence has spawned "The Core". An ambitious debut, to say the least...featuring special guests from bands like...the first part of our "Influences" section.
