Existance was created in the end of 2008 by Julian Izard (lead vocals / guitars) and Tom Drouin (bass) to keep the spirit of the 1980s Heavy Metal alive.
In 2009 the line-up was completed and the band started to play cover songs like “Dallas 1 PM” (Saxon) or “Cold Sweat” (Thin Lizzy) which allowed the musicians to know each other better. Then, shortly after this, they began to write their own songs. "Innocent" and "Soul Warrior" were the first ones.
In 2010, a 4 track demo was recorded to be able to do some concerts.
After a first changing of line-up (a new drummer) in 2011, the band went back to the studio to record their 2nd demo (8 tracks).
A lot of concerts were given : in France (with bands like Rhino Bucket, Furious Zoo, Vulcain, Blaspheme, ADX, Killers, Eternal Flight, ...), at some Festivals also like the Paris Metal France Festival IV (PMFF IV), Isaria Festival, Vouziers Festival (edition #21), twice at the Zicophonies Festival (editions #15 and #16), Long Live Metal Festival (edition #5), Rock’N Metal Convention (edition #14), and also some gigs in Belgium and in the Netherlands with the cult heavy-metal bands Bitch (USA) or Ear Danger (Nld).
2012 was not only the year of line-up changing with the arrival of Alex (drums) and Antoine (guitar) in addition to the original members Julian (lead vocals / guitar) and Tom (bass). The decision was made to send the 2nd demo to some record companies. Very quickly, EXISTANCE got an offer from the German label High Roller Records that liked it a lot and wanted to re-release it. That’s how in April 2012 the 2nd demo simply called “Existance” was released officially, on CD with a new booklet and on vinyl (3 different colors), by High Roller Records with a worldwide distribution via SoulFood.
2013 : EXISTANCE is composing new songs. The band will enter the studio in September 2013 to record its real 1st album that will contain 11 tracks. The album will be released in the end of January 2014.
