В прошлом году Miss Fortune были выкинуты с лейбла Sumerian Records после того, как вокалисту коллектива, Mikey Sawyer'y, были предъявлены обвинения в домашнем насилии и нанесении побоев. Несмотря на то, что позднее обвинения были сняты, коллектив так и не нашел лейбла. В итоге музыканты приняли решение основать более "тяжелый" проект, получивший название NORTHERN LIGHTS - фрагмент нового трека доступен ниже.

The band was formed as a "super-group" using members from Miss Fortune and Outline in Color.
Parallel relationships between the two bands sparked a musical combination that can only be described as spectacular.
Mikey Sawyer and Josh Kikta sidestep their roles in Alternative Rock outfit Miss Fortune to create a fresh brand of metalcore combined with EDM and the dark screams of Michael Skaggs, bassist of Outline in Color who completes the Northern Lights quintet as screaming vocalist and co-frontman of the band.
The band has entered the studio with Cameron Mizell (Memphis May Fire, Sleeping with Sirens) to produce their debut single, "Ashamed" (teaser below).
Additionally, the band have just inked a management deal with Eric Rushing and Mike Milford at The Artery Foundation.
