The idea of the band started already in the mid-2010s by guitarist brothers Toni and Niklas. Songs were written, the overall sound was finding its path and the line-up started to take shape as drummer Mika Mönkkönen and bassist Kimi Ylinen joined the band.

Studio sessions for the debut EP were finalized and the band began to plan the release. Dead Serenity’s first single ”Darkness Within” was released in early December 2019, followed by two singles ”Dying Sun” and ”Betrayed” before the whole debut EP named ”Beginnings” was released on February 26th 2020.
On the same day, when ”Beginnings” saw the light of day Dead Serenity began to record its upcoming release. So what can we say, the story continues…
