Blood Tsunami formed in 2004 with Pete, Jay, Riff and Dor. The band recorded their first demo shortly thereafter and made their live performance debut on August 24, 2004 as the support act for Swedish death metal legends Entombed. That was followed by a support slot for American death metal band Deicide a few weeks later.
The original lineup proved to be unstable though, and both Jay and Riff were replaced within a year: Bosse, who played with Pete previously in Hellride, took over the position as bass player, and Faust (Emperor, Aborym, Scum) moved in behind the drum kit. The revamped lineup entered Oslo's Lion Heart Studios in July 2005 and recorded a second demo and by continuing to play live, the band developed a strong reputation for being a ferocious live act in the Norwegian metal scene.
In September 2006, Blood Tsunami returned to Lion Heart Studios to record their debut album for Nocturnal Art Productions/Candlelight Records. The album, Thrash Metal, was released on March 19, 2007 and received very good reviews.
The band toured with acts like Zyklon, Dead Beyond Buried, Evile and Satyricon and also played shows with Dimmu Borgir, Insense, Man Must Die and Origin... just to name a few.
During the fall of 2008 the band once again went down the stairs to Lion Heart Studio and during two intense months they recorded their sophomore album entitled "GRAND FEAST FOR VULTURES".
